God, Please Forgive Me

God,
Please forgive me.

I have committed many sins
Loving at an age I am forbidden.

I have given all my heart to this one man
And have forgotten to recite my prayers.

I have spent all my time with this man
And have not been thinking of You.

I am so in love with him
I have made no time for You.

Now I feel the pain of my sins,
God.

Please help me mend my wounds
For I understand now, that the man I love cannot fully.

I need You by my side,
My Lord.

You are my one and true friend
But please let the man I love be close to me too.

My heart is with him
And with You.

Please understand that I can’t let him go
For he has given love no other has given but You.

I will guide him onto the path to
Heaven.

Forgive me for ever loving him and
Forgetting the one that gave me life, love, and joy.

I need You by my side
But please don’t take me away from the man of my dreams.

I will love him forever
And bless him with the teachings of the Almighty Lord.
