Crys: The Beginning Part Two

by Karissa (KIRA) Uh... Who Am I?
in a hissy fit and screaming like a kid

I looked for Devon's room later that day. Angel said he never shared a room, so I figured it'd be easy. It was. I knocked on the door and heard a "Come in." I walked in and closed the door. He looked up from his bed. "Oh. It's you." He put his head back down. "I'm sorry." Those words never left my mouth before. But of course, I have been sorry for my life but never said it. He got off his bed. "You should be. No one humiliates me in front of my friends." I scoffed. "I've never even had friends, yet I know that real friends dont leave you when you need help." He looked at me and started laughing.

Why was he laughing? I wondered. Then I looked down at my shirt. It ha a big red splotch on it. It was probably done when I wiped my hands on my shirt after touching red paint earlier that day. I started laughing too. It was really funny. We were rolling on the floor after a few minutes. After 3 more minutes, we stopped laughing. Of course it was funny. I never made a mistake before. Mostly, I ran from them. "I'm Crys." He nodded, trying to stop giggling.

We talked after that, and Angel had joined us. We talked about Harry Potter, and alot of other things. Soon we were fighting together and going to the arcade with Angel. I beat all the games that day, a new record. Of course I've never played them before, but they seemed familiar somehow. I remember that day because it was Sunday, and we went to church with the preachers daughter afterwards.

Here's what the church was like: the walls were painted with murals and Jesus on the cross. I was awed. I have never ever in my whole entire life been to church, so you can imagine how I felt. The preacher was a full blown liar, and I read the book of Revelations that day. The preacher talked about the world ending that night, and how it was wrong to be in church all morning instead of outside playing. I thought that the preacher wasnt real and that he was a rapist. I was right about the rapist part. So at the end of church, I went up to the preacher and told him what I belived. I wasnt shy, never had been, and I set him straight. Even to this day, he preaches the truth. And he doesnt rape anymore. That church was messed up before I got there.

Authors Note: I'm Christian, and I am not playing with religion. Just letting you know.
