Chapter 6
My Bedroom June 19 12:45pm
My face was covered with my hands and I was sobbing on my bed. Call me a little kid, but really, wouldn’t you be upset when your new friends hated you, a girl you wanted to be friends with hated you, and a mob of angry poets were shunning and threatening you?
So I cried.
Laura was at my side, patting me on the back. “It’s alright, Nikki,” Laura said. “They’re just being jerks. Anna and Sara are just falling into one of Jessica’s traps.” She handed me a tissue box.
I snatched a few tissues and dried my face. I sniffed. “It’s just that…Jessica seemed so nice, now she’s got a gang of poetic anti-story-writers.”
Laura sighed. “Once an idiot, always an idiot. Don’t try to change her. It just gets you into trouble.”
I turned towards Laura and hugged her.
“What was that for?” she asked.
I smiled. “For being a good friend.”
She smiled and hugged me back.

Dear Journal,
I learned two things today:
1) When life goes bad for you, a good friends is always there to help you out.
2) James reminds me of James Potter.
