Chapter 9

***Kaitlyn***

Today I decided to stay after school to use the lab. I sat on one of the chairs and went to Google. I typed “Skateboarding Tricks” Nothing helpful came up.

***Katie***

I saw Kaitlyn go into the computer lab. I wonder what she was doing? I spied on her

***Kaitlyn***

“Hey! What are you doing? You’re not supposed to be here!” a boy said.

“Sorry!” I said.

“What exactly are you doing?” the boy—who was a hall patrol.

“Um…I was searching skateboarding tricks,” I said.

“You skateboard?” the boy’s face softened.

“Nah…I’m writing a story about it,” I said.

“Really? That’s cool! Hey, did you know I skate? I can teach you some tricks,” he said.

“Ok! That would be really cool!” I said. “Oh! The late busses are here! I gotta go!” I said when the bell rang.

“Let me walk you there,” he offered.

I didn’t know what to say. No would be rude.

“Um...sure,” I said.

I saw as Kaitlyn came out of the lab with a boy. Who was he? Wait—that was Matt! A guy who is in my math class. A lot of girls liked him.

OMG

Kaitlyn liked him and she was using Josh to get popular!

I smiled.

I couldn’t wait to tell Josh!
